Foris Vineyards Winery

Foris Vineyards Winery

In 1971, the Gerber family purchased hillside acreage in southwestern Oregon’s rugged Siskiyou Mountain range with the specific intention of growing grapes. Starting from scratch, they built a house, bought the land that is now Gerber Vineyards, and began planting grapes.

Foris Vineyards has been a true viticultural pioneer for over forty years. Specializing in Alsace varietals and Pinot Noir, Foris Vineyards consistently garners accolades for both quality and value.  Our microclimate is influenced by our close proximity to the Pacific Ocean, as well as the high elevation of our vineyards. Coupled with low fertility sites, low yields, and careful farming, the winery produces distinctive wines that have earned us consistent top scores, medals, and “best buy” designations.

“Foris consistently produces a meticulously crafted, value lineup of Alsatian-inspired white wines.”
-Wine Enthusiast, October 2015

The dramatic natural beauty and purity of our surrounding environment is reflected in our winemaking. Working with a variety of elements, Foris oversees an amalgam of irreplaceable natural resources to produce environmentally sustainable wines of superior quality, available at popular prices. As a result, our wines are something more than a great accompaniment to a good meal. They are accommodating to our employer, Mother Nature. We firmly believe that each bottle of Foris wine is inspired by a recipe of conscious responsibility and a broad spectrum of traditional and innovative stewardship practices.
